Independent Disciplinary Update: Aaron Carroll

A citing commissioner has issued a CCW to Aaron Carroll of the Kyushudenryoku KyudenVoltex for the match between SHIMIZU KOTO BLUE SHARKS and Kyushudenryoku KyudenVoltex held on 28 December.

This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2024-25’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer conducted a hearing with the player and decided to apply the following sanctions.

Nature of Offence: 

Law 9.11 – Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others including leading with the elbow or forearm, or jumping into, or over, a tackler.

Law 9.20－Dangerous play in a ruck or maul.

a) A player must not charge into a ruck or maul. Charging includes any contact made without binding onto another player in the ruck or maul.

b) A player must not make contact with an opponent above the line of the shoulders.

Sanctions: Yellow Card

The Act: The player made a head contact to the victim player (No. 5 of SHIMIZU KOTO BLUE SHARKS) with his right shoulder inside the ruck
