Independent Disciplinary Update: Rikiya Oishi Decision
A citing commissioner has issued a citing report to Rikiya Oishi of the Yakult Levins Toda for the match between Chugoku Electric Power Red Regulions and Yakult Levins Toda held on 22 February.
This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2024-25’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer conducted a hearing with the player and decided to apply the following sanctions.

Nature of Offence:
Law 9.11- Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others including leading with the elbow or forearm, or jumping into, or over, a tackler.
Law 9.13 - A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders.
Law 9.16 - A player must not charge or knock down an opponent carrying the ball without attempting to grasp that player.
Sanctions: 3 weeks (matches) Suspension (Rd 8-10)

① 10:00 to the 2nd half: The player dangerously jumped into the victim player (No. 4 of CHUGOKU RR) without attempting to grasp that player
② 10:00 to the 2nd half:The player dangerously jumped into the victim player (No. 8 of CHUGOKU RR) without attempting to grasp that player
