Independent Disciplinary Update: Elliott Stooke Decision
Elliott Stooke of the RedHurricanes Osaka was sent off for two yellow cards at the match between RedHurricanes Osaka and Kyushudenryoku KyudenVoltex held on 27 March 2026.
This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2025-26’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer conducted a hearing with the player and decided to apply the following sanctions.

YC① Law 9.7(a) – A player must not: a. Intentionally infringe any law of the game.
YC② Law 9.11 – Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others including leading with the elbow or forearm, or jumping into, or over, a tackler.
Sanctions: 1 week (match) suspension (Rd 10)

YC① Intentionally infringe law of the game [24:00]
YC② The act of forcefully colliding with the KYUSHU KV No.10 player—who had just kicked the ball—whilst that player had both knees on the ground, causing him to fall [38:00]
