Independent Disciplinary Update: Curtis Reid Decision

A citing commissioner has reported a Curtis Reid of the SAYAMA SECOM RUGGUTs's action for the match between Kurita Water Gush Akishima and SAYAMA SECOM RUGGUTs held on 12 April.

This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2025-26’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer decided to apply the following sanctions.

Player:  Curtis Reid

Team:  SAYAMA SECOM RUGGUTs 

Date of Incident: 12 April 2026

Nature of Offence:9.11、9.20(a)7 

Sanctions: 4 week (match) Suspension (Round 13-15, 1st game of P/R matches)   

The Act: The player's left shoulder made contact with the head of WG Akishima No. 12 during a cleanout. 

Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 24:00
