Independent Disciplinary Update: Bryn Gatland Decision

A citing commissioner has issued a CCW to Bryn Gatland of the KOBELCO KOBE STEELERS  for the match between KOBELCO KOBE STEELERS and Mie Honda HEAT held on 2 May.

This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2025-26’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer decided to apply the following sanctions.

Nature of Offence: 9.11、9.12、9.27

Sanctions: Yellow card  

The Act: The player slapped the No. 14 of MIE H's face with his right hand 

Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 04:00 into the 2nd half
