Independent Disciplinary Update: Tatsuhiro Ozaki Decision

A citing commissioner has reported a Tatsuhiro Ozaki of the SHIMIZU KOTO BLUE SHARKS's action for the match between NIPPON STEEL KAMAISHI SEAWAVES and SHIMIZU KOTO BLUE SHARKS held on 9 May.

This is to inform that in accordance with Article 34 (Judicial and Citing) of the JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE ‘Official Match Guidelines 2025-26’ and the Japan Rugby Football Union ‘Regulation of Sanctions for Foul Play’, the Judicial Officer has conducted a hearing and decided to apply the following sanctions.

Team:  SHIMIZU KOTO BLUE SHARKS 

Date of Incident: 9 May 2026

Nature of Offence: 9.28

Sanctions: 1 week (match) Suspension (1st game of P/R matches)   

The Act: The player expressed dissatisfaction with a decision by the Assistant Referee, made a remark that undermined the authority of the Match Official, and displayed an attitude of dissatisfaction.

Elapsed time in match when incident occurred: 24:00 into the 2nd half
