この度、シャノン・フリゼル選手が、2025-26シーズンをもって東芝ブレイブルーパス東京を退団することとなりましたのでお知らせいたします。

From me and my family, we’re truly grateful to the club, the fans, and the boys I’ve shared the last three seasons.
The memories we’ve made will always remain with us.

All in to make a few more and finish strong.

私と私の家族を代表して、クラブ、ファンの皆様、そしてこの3シーズンをともに戦ってきた仲間たちに、心より感謝申し上げます。
ともに築いてきた思い出は、これからも私たちの心の中に生き続けることでしょう。
残りのシーズンも全力を尽くし、有終の美を飾ります。

Since Shannon came to Toshiba for the very first time, he has just been exceptional. He and Richie came straight after the World Cup, and the impact they had on our environment and the way that we played was instantaneous. They came with such great enthusiasm and passion. Those two, without doubt, changed us for the better.
Especially with Noni (Frizell’s nickname) — he brought that level of physicality to the game, and he brought a lot of his experience to the game as well. He helped the coaches, and he is one of those players who can dominate a game. He has received a few yellow cards over the years, but I think that just shows you what a competitor he is and how physical he is. He is going to be really missed in this environment. What he has given us over the last couple of years has been enormous.
It has been a real shame this year that he has had a lot of injuries, and you could probably tell through our results just how much we have missed him — missed the impact that he has had on our game. In the last game that he played for us against Kubota, he actually broke his finger in the warm-up. It is a testament to how tough he is that he was still able to play 50 minutes with a broken finger.
I love his ambition. I love the way that he chose us — out of all the clubs in Japan, he chose to come and play for us. He is going to be sorely missed. He has made a lot of good friends here, and we will miss his family as well. He is a really good family man.
I love his ambition and his desire to return to being an All Black. He was an All Black when he came to us, and I hope that he goes back from Toshiba to become an All Black again and achieves his goal — along with Richie — of winning the World Cup. And then I hope he comes back to Toshiba again. I hope he does all of those things.
I just want to thank Noni. He is a hugely influential player within our team. The boys love him, and I know that the Toshiba supporters have really missed him this year as well. From all of us, we wish him all the very best.

シャノンが初めて東芝に来て以来、彼は本当に素晴らしい存在でした。彼とリッチーはワールドカップ直後に加入しましたが、二人はチームの雰囲気とプレースタイルに即座に影響を与えてくれました。
非常に高い熱量と情熱を持って来てくれて、この二人が我々を良い方向へと変えてくれたことは間違いありません。

特にノニ【フリゼルの愛称】については、フィジカルの強さをゲームにもたらし、豊富な経験をチームに還元してくれました。コーチ陣のサポートも惜しみません。試合を支配できる、そういうタイプの選手です。これまで何度かイエローカードをもらったこともありましたが、それこそが彼の競争心とフィジカルの激しさの証だと思っています。
彼がこの環境からいなくなることは、本当に惜しいことです。ここ数年間、彼がもたらしてくれたものは計り知れません。今シーズンは怪我が多く、非常に残念でした。我々の結果を見れば、彼の不在がいかに大きかったかは明らかでしょう。

彼が東芝でプレーしてくれた最新の試合、クボタ戦では、ウォームアップ中に指を骨折しました。それでも骨折した手のまま50分間プレーし続けたことは、彼がどれだけタフな選手かを示す、まさにその証拠だと思います。

私は彼の「野心」が大好きです。彼が日本の数々のクラブの中から我々を選んでくれたことを本当にうれしく思っています。彼がいなくなることは、本当に寂しいことです。日本では多くの友人ができましたし、ご家族のことも恋しく思います。彼は本当に素晴らしい家族思いの男です。

彼が再びオールブラックスに戻りたいという、その強い思いも僕は大好きです。我々のもとに来た時、彼はすでにオールブラックスでした。東芝から再びオールブラックスへ戻り、リッチーとともにワールドカップ優勝という目標を達成してほしい。そしてまた東芝に戻ってきてほしい。そのすべてを叶えてほしいと願っています。
ノニに感謝を伝えたい。チームに多大な影響を与えてくれた選手です。チームメートたちも彼を慕っており、東芝のサポーターの皆さんも、今シーズン彼がいないことを本当に寂しく思っているはずです。クラブ一同、彼の今後のご活躍を心から願っています。
