九州電力キューデンヴォルテクスより、所属選手の逝去について発表がありましたのでご紹介します。

九州電力キューデンヴォルテクス（以下、九州KV）所属のサイモニ・ヴニランギ選手が、2026年8月7日（金）午前、福岡市内の病院で逝去いたしました。心より哀悼の意を表します。
サイモニ選手は、2026年8月3日（月）のチーム練習後に熱中症の症状が見られたため、直ちに医療機関へ搬送され治療を受けておりましたが、懸命な治療の甲斐なく永眠いたしました。
この突然の訃報に、選手、スタッフ、チーム関係者一同、言葉を失っております。
今季九州KVに新加入したサイモニ選手は、合流からわずかな時間ではありましたが、彼の力強いプレーは、新シーズンでの活躍に期待が寄せられておりました。
ここに謹んで故人のご冥福をお祈り申し上げるとともに、ご遺族の皆さまに心よりお悔やみ申し上げます。

Saimoni Vunilagi, a player for Kyushu Electric Power Kyuden Voltex (hereinafter "Kyushu KV"), passed away at a hospital in Fukuoka City on the morning of Friday, August 7, 2026.
After team practice on Monday, August 3, 2026, Saimoni displayed symptoms consistent with severe heatstroke. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment, but despite the best efforts of the medical team, he sadly passed away.
The players, staff, and all team associates are devastated by this sudden news.
Although Saimoni had only recently joined Kyushu KV, his generous spirit and powerful style of play had raised high hopes for his contributions in the upcoming season.
We humbly pray for the repose of his soul and extend our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
